Ms. Julia started teaching piano and harp in 1996. She holds a Master's Degree in Business Education from Emporia State University. What will I learn from piano lessons at Accent Music Academy? Whether you want to learn Bach or Alicia Keys, Ms. Julia dedicated to helping you become the pianist you want to be. No. Ms. Julia loves beginners! Do I need a traditional piano to learn the instrument? No, you do not need a traditional piano at home to take lessons. A simple full size (88 keys) electronic keyboard will suffice as long as it is touch sensitive. Are there piano recitals? Absolutely! We have four regular performances every year: The last Saturday or Sunday in August, our students have the opportunity to perform in our All-Studio Recitals. These are held in beautiful facilities with quality pianos. Admission is free, so you can invite all of your family and friends. The first Sunday of December is always our Christmas Kickoff Celebration. This is a great time for all and a very low-key performance opportunity. We do lots of fun activities and sometimes even get a special visit from Santa! We also offer two by-audition-only Spotlight Concerts in April and October each year.
