Overview
Whether you aspire to play Bach or Alicia Keys, Ms. Julia is a dedicated piano instructor and will help you become the pianist you want to be. She will introduce you to the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, and incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons whenever possible. You do not need a traditional piano at home to take lessons; a simple full-size (88 keys) electronic keyboard will suffice, as long as it is touch sensitive.

Meet our Ms. Julia

Ms. Julia with Accent Music Academy is the number one piano lesson teacher in Wichita, KS.

What styles of piano do you teach?‍
Ms. Julia teaches all styles, from rock, pop and jazz to country, blues and classical.

We are happy to teach students who have traditional pianos or keyboards. 

How qualified is Ms. Julia?
Ms. Julia started teaching piano and harp in 1996.‍ She holds a Master's Degree in Business Education from Emporia State University.

What will I learn from piano lessons at Accent Music Academy?

Do I have to know how to read music?
‍No. Ms. Julia loves beginners!

Do I need a traditional piano to learn the instrument?
No, you do not need a traditional piano at home to take lessons. A simple full size (88 keys) electronic keyboard will suffice as long as it is touch sensitive.

Are there piano recitals?‍
Absolutely! We have four regular performances every year:

The last Saturday or Sunday in August, our students have the opportunity to perform in our All-Studio Recitals. These are held in beautiful facilities with quality pianos. Admission is free, so you can invite all of your family and friends.

The first Sunday of December is always our Christmas Kickoff Celebration. This is a great time for all and a very low-key performance opportunity. We do lots of fun activities and sometimes even get a special visit from Santa!

We also offer two by-audition-only Spotlight Concerts in April and October each year. These are very special opportunities for just six students to perform in each.
